I have been qualified as a Chiropodist and Podiatrist for over 35 years and have been in practice full time since 1988.
I am an expert in Podiatric Biomechanics (the science of body movement and function
in relation to the feet and legs) and the prescription of Bespoke Orthotics (arch
supports). I have studied this subject extensively in my degree. Thus I have eased
many patient’s leg, foot and back pains by prescribing bespoke orthotics which are
made individually for each patient by a World Class Orthotics Laboratory in the UK.
To do this I use a
3D iPad foot scanner which exactly captures the size and shape
of the foot, making thousands of measurements to ensure the orthotics fit exactly.
I am an expert at treating verrucae (warts of the foot) and I treat hundreds of
verrucae successfully each year. I have studied this subject extensively, writing
a 6000 word essay on their treatment in my degree.
I can use Cryotherapy and a range
of other treatments.
I treat many ingrowing toenails each year. Either by conservatively removing problem splinters of nail, or by permanently removing ingrowing toenails under Local Anaesthetic using Nail Surgery techniques.
I treat many patients who have Diabetes.
I also treat many routine foot problems such as corns and calluses.
